I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
