Zohran Mamdani Pledges a 'Dawn' for NYC in Inaugural Address
On his initial day in office, Zohran Mamdani vowed to “reimagine” the metropolis, promising “a fresh chapter” and an ambitious commencement to his tenure.
A Historic Mayor
The young political star, who was a virtually unknown state assemblyman, has become the city's first Muslim mayor. He also made history by being the inaugural to be sworn in using the Islamic holy text.
